Sanitation
The sanitation crew operates from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday - Friday, excluding all federal holidays. If your pickup day falls on a holiday, it will be picked up the next working day.
You will be notified of your pickup day upon signing up for services at the City Building. The City of Ammon bills for the service provided not the services you use. You will be billed for utility services whether utilized or not.
The following should NOT be placed in your garbage can:
- Car batteries
- Paint
- Antifreeze, solvents, oils, tires, cement, steel, or large wood products.
These should be taken to the Bonneville County transfer station.
Rate Schedule Change:
Rising costs are affecting everyone, including municipal utilities. In particular, the rising cost of fuel has increased operating costs. With an eye to the future, management is taking steps to help mitigate future increases by automating the residential sanitation fleet. This upgrade will require new automated sanitation equipment and standardized containers. Ammon has historically been able to offer some of the lowest sanitation rates in the area to it's citizens. It continues to be our goal to hold utility costs down, even in these turbulent economic times. Therefore, while the rate schedule change does represent a significant percentage increase, it still keeps the monthly rate well below the rates charged by our surrounding sanitation service providers, both public and private. It is also our hope that, barring unforeseen increases in operational costs, this adjustment will prove adequate for the foreseeable future. We greatly appreciate the citizens we serve and thank you for your support and cooperation through these necessary adjustments. Check back here often, as we will post important updates as we implement the automated sanitation service.
