Projects

The Parks department is currently involved in the following projects, which will improve the quality of the parks available for your enjoyment.

  • A second shelter is being built on the east side of Eagles Homestead Park, which will be ready for use in the spring of 2007.
  • Restroom facilities are being built in the south-central area of Eagles Homestead Park, which will also be ready for use in the spring of 2007.
  • A 32-foot gazebo is being built in McCowin Park. This is a joint project between the city and volunteers in conjunction with the City of Ammon's centennial celebration. It will be ready for use in the spring of 2007.

In addition, the Parks department plans to offer pruning classes and water conservation classes in the near future. Watch this space for more information!

And we're always looking for volunteers to help on the tree committee, so if you're interested, please contact us.
