FIRE Department

“committed to the fundamental beliefs of life safety, incident stabilization & property conservation…. serving the community with honor and integrity”

A message from the Chief:

Thank you for visiting our website, our goal is to provide you information on the department and the services we offer.  Just like the City itself, the Fire Department has undergone some significant changes in recent years.

Growth has brought evolution within the department.  What was once a true volunteer organization, relying on the commitment of a score of dedicated men and women for fire protection, is now a professional fire department with thirty-two paid-call firefighters and two full time firefighters.

Our mission: To provide safe, effective and timely service to the citizens of Ammon.  To accomplish this we maintain minimum standards; from physical fitness, to training in every aspect of the firefighting profession. We are looking forward to what the future will bring for our City and for our department. Bottom line, our business has been and will continue to be, about service.  Now more than ever before, we need to be constantly challenging how and why we have done the job in the past and look to do it better and more economically in the future.   But one thing is for certain, we are confident that as the City’s needs grow, we will be ready to provide the services that the citizens deserve.

If you have more interest in the department or would like to schedule a visit please do not hesitate to call the office or stop by the station.

Stacy Hyde, Fire Chief

Stacy was appointed as the City's first full-time Chief in July, 2006.
A native of Idaho, Stacy started his career in the fire service in 1997 after ten years management experience in the private sector.
Having relocated to Ammon last fall; Stacy, his wife Lori, and two sons look forward to many happy years in our growing community.

“In Case of Emergency” (ICE) Campaign

has been launched worldwide. The idea is to store the word “ICE” in the address book of mobile phones with the phone number of who you want contacted in the event you are injured and unable to communicate this information.
