Enforcement Office
The Enforcement Officer reports to the City Council and performs two functions, which are animal enforcement and zoning enforcement.
The City of Ammon requires that dogs are licensed yearly, and that they do not wander the streets at-large. The Enforcement Officer enforces these ordinances, as well as fielding complaints about excessive barking. She also ensures that kennels are in compliance with ordinances.
If your dog is picked up and is without a license tag, it will be taken to an animal shelter. Call City Hall to find out who to contact.
We encourage everyone to spay and neuter their pets.
The Enforcement Officer also enforces zoning ordinances, including those regulating on-street parking, abandoned vehicles, excessive or noxious weeds or junk or litter, and nuisance complaints. The Enforcement Officer also deals with home businesses operating without a business license.
