Ammon City Information:

  • The posted directory provides a direct number to City staff. This means that you may directly dial the number for any Ammon staff and avoid navigating a voice menu, as long as you know the staff member's number. If you are unsure of who you need to speak with regarding an issue, you will need to call the main city number at (208) 612-4000, where you will be presented with 2 options; navigating a voice menu or speaking with an operator.

  • The Ammon Building and Parks Departments both have resources available online.

    The Building Department offers online services to anyone building within the city at no additional cost. These services allow builders to check on the status of their permits, as well as schedule and view inspections in real time. To sign up, simply stop by the Building Department office.

    The Parks Department offers online recreations sign ups and facilities reservations. These resources can be accessed here.

  • The City of Ammon operates under a Six-Person City Council.

  • Ammon Centennial CoinsAmmon centennial coins are still available. In 2005, the City of Ammon commissioned the Great Canadian Mint to manufacture commemorative centennial coins for the city. Approximately 2,000 coins are still available to purchase for $3 each or 10 for $20.

    The coin features the historic Ammon School on one side and Taylor Mountain on the opposite side.
